Childhood surrounded by art
A free and pure stage of creativity.
My father is an artisan of Peruvian traditional ceramic, from the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Since I have memory I have seen paintings, brushes, colors, etc. My father workshop was at home and I have painted there since I was a child, with no restriction in technique, palettes creation, textures, etc.
My father's work is characterized by extreme detail, working on huge quantities of handmade pieces.
Encountering dualities
Until my 20s, art was a hobby and I graduated from Law school in Peru. Since my early steps of my career, weekdays were devoted to work in the corporate world while on weekends I was a volunteer teacher in public schools for around 6 years. The perception of "dualities" became stronger over the years, witnessing different realities between multinationals, financial statements, budgets, etc. Vs. my students sharing their stories of the "real" world.
During my 20s, art became my escape to bridge the two worlds in which I was living.

Over time, I got involved in quite diverse projects & activities.
I leaded social projects and later founded my own project in Peru during the COVID pandemic. I faced the hard reality between opportunities in the countryside.
I volunteered in more projects, mentored teenagers, got involved in politics and religious prgrammes to, etc. with the main purpose of analyse human behaviour and seek inspiration on how to portray "human nature".
Amsterdam & spirituality

I moved to Amsterdam with a plan to exlore.
My neighbourghood in NDSM got me into contemporary and urban art. I started trying acrylics, re-started drawing and got closer to photography.
I studied abouth my roots and saw in cultutal identity the base to address my new life in Europe. While gathering stories from family, I came to know about my grandparents and their Barayoc roles, the strong tradition in my family from shamanism, not as an alternative treatment but as way of life. What has been normal for em all my life, was not actually that ordinary. The respect for the space we habit, the permission to occupy a place to live, the respect for others and measurement of energy, the connection with ancestors, the use of plants and nature to heal.
Gathering experiences
